Control arms connect your wheel hub to the chassis and let the suspension move up and down. Worn bushes or ball joints in a control arm can cause clunks, vague steering and uneven tyre wear.
Select your vehicle at the top of the page to see control arms that fit, and check whether you need the upper or lower arm, and the left or right side. A wheel alignment is recommended after fitting. Need a hand? Call us on 02 9413 3166.

Control arm bushes are rubber or polyurethane mounts where the control arm attaches to the body or chassis. They absorb vibration and let the arm pivot, while holding the wheel in the right position.
Common signs include clunking over bumps, wandering under braking, vibration through the steering, and uneven tyre wear. Cracked or split rubber is a sign the bushes need replacing.
If the arm is in good condition, new bushes can be pressed in. Many people replace the complete arm instead, as it often comes with new bushes and a ball joint already fitted, which saves labour.
Polyurethane bushes are firmer and last longer, which sharpens handling, but they can pass more noise and vibration into the cabin. Rubber bushes give a quieter, more comfortable ride.
Yes. New control arms or bushes change the suspension geometry, so a wheel alignment afterwards keeps the car tracking straight and protects your tyres.
