What is a bearing buddy?

A bearing buddy is a spring loaded hub cap that keeps the wheel bearings under slight grease pressure. This helps stop water getting into the bearings, which is especially useful on boat trailers.

What safety chains does my trailer need?

Safety chains must be rated for your trailer's mass and attached to the tow vehicle properly. Heavier trailers need two chains. Check the requirements for your trailer with your state road authority.

How should safety chains be attached?

Cross the chains under the coupling and attach them to the tow vehicle's rated points with rated shackles. They should be long enough to allow turning but not drag on the ground.

What trailer accessories should I carry?

Useful spares include a spare wheel, wheel brace, bearings and seals, globes or a spare light, a trailer plug adaptor, and wheel chocks.

Do I need a spare wheel for my trailer?

It's strongly recommended, especially on long trips. Make sure the spare matches the trailer's stud pattern and tyre size.
