Suspension & Steering FAQs

What are the signs of worn suspension or steering parts?

Common signs include clunking or knocking over bumps, wandering or vague steering, a steering wheel that isn't straight, uneven tyre wear, excessive body roll, or a bouncy ride. Have the front end checked if you notice any of these.

Do I need a wheel alignment after replacing suspension or steering parts?

Often, yes. Replacing tie rod ends, rack ends, control arms or struts usually changes the alignment. A wheel alignment afterwards keeps the car tracking straight and protects your tyres.

How do I find the right suspension parts for my car?

Select your vehicle at the top of the page, then check the fitment details on the listing, including front or rear and left or right. If you're not sure, give us a call on 02 9413 3166 with your make, model and year.

Should suspension parts be replaced in pairs?

For shock absorbers, springs and sway bar links, replacing both sides of the same axle keeps handling even. For joints and arms, replace the worn part, and check the other side at the same time.

Can I replace suspension parts myself?

Some jobs, such as sway bar links, are manageable at home with the right tools. Others, such as compressing coil springs or pressing in ball joints, need special equipment and can be dangerous without it. If you're unsure, have a professional do it.
