About Wiper Blades

Worn wiper blades smear, streak and chatter just when you need a clear view. Our range from Winston's Wipers covers blades for cars, utes and 4WDs.

Select your vehicle at the top of the page to see blades that fit. The Australian sun breaks down rubber quickly, so it's worth replacing blades regularly, even if they look fine. Need help finding the right size? Call us on 02 9413 3166.

Wiper Blades FAQs

How do I change wiper blades?

Lift the wiper arm away from the windscreen, press or slide the clip that holds the blade, and slide the old blade off the arm. Fit the new blade until it clicks into place, then lower the arm gently. Check the blade's instructions, as clip types vary.

How often should wiper blades be changed?

Many people replace wiper blades every six to twelve months. The Australian sun breaks down the rubber faster, so replace them as soon as they streak, smear, chatter or leave patches unwiped.

What size wiper blades do I need?

Wiper sizes vary between vehicles, and the driver and passenger blades are often different lengths. Select your vehicle at the top of the page, or measure your current blades end to end.

Do I need to replace both wiper blades at once?

It's a good idea. Both blades are exposed to the same sun and weather, so if one is worn, the other usually isn't far behind. Don't forget the rear wiper if your car has one.

Why are my new wiper blades streaking?

Streaking from new blades is often caused by a dirty windscreen, wax or oil film on the glass, or a bent wiper arm. Clean the glass and the blade edge, and check the blade is fitted correctly.
