Measure the axle shape and width, the inside width of the U bolt, and the length needed to clamp the spring and axle with enough thread showing. Check the listing for each U bolt's dimensions.

Should I reuse U bolts?

It's not recommended. U bolts stretch when tightened, so fit new ones, with new nuts, when replacing springs or axles.

What fasteners suit boat trailers?

Galvanised or stainless steel fasteners resist corrosion from salt water. Rinse the trailer with fresh water after every launch.

How tight should trailer U bolts be?

Tighten them evenly in a cross pattern to the specified torque, then recheck after the first trip, as they can settle.
