Dayco's Poly-V belt, also called a multi rib or serpentine belt, drives the engine's accessories such as the alternator, power steering pump and air conditioning compressor. The grooved design lets the belt flex easily in both directions, and Dayco treats the cord so the belt holds its length over its life. Dayco's heavy duty versions are a diesel grade construction made to handle the torque pulses of diesel engines.
